One Steel LTR 800Mhz System
This is a Industrial Trunk network using the LTR TRUNK.
its a different way of working and can be monitored by an ordinary scanner but you hear a little a little break of squelch
every 10 or so seconds.
but with a trunk tracker you can easily.
the difference with LTR what is called logical trunk order or channels so here we have 5 freqs
but you cant just put them in channels 1,2,3,4 or 5 oh no, not that simple in this case you have to leave channels blank
in this case 1,5,9,13, and 17 for this LTR
for this example im using bank 3
Press the menu button.
press 3 for trunk data
rotate the VFO/Select till bank 3 is displayed press E (for bank 3)
press E again for trunk type
press 8 for type LT
then
menu, menu, menu
goto channel 101
Enter the following channels in these exact freqs and channels
remember after you type in each channel to press and hold the trunk button until the L is displayed on the screen.
CH.101-865.2375 enter hold trunk till the L is displayed
CH.105-866.2375 enter hold trunk till the L is displayed
CH.109-867.2375 enter hold trunk till the L is displayed
CH.113-868.2375 enter hold trunk till the L is displayed
CH.117-869.2375 enter hold trunk till the L is displayed
thats it now all you have to do is hit scan bank 3 trunk, then search and you should be up hearing one steel:)at mayfield
*range seems to be local, Garry @ Mount Hutton (good radio location) said he is deaf to it & Bob from Bonnels Bay
also reports to be deaf to it also.
so if you are recieving it can you send in your surburb so we can get an idea of how far you can hear it.

How To Program your 780.
Im going to put it in bank 2 for the example.
Press the menu button.
press 3 for trunk data
rotate the VFO/Select till bank 2 is displayed press E (for bank 2)
press E again for trunk type
press 1 for type 800
press 0 for control channel
Press 1 for type 1 band plan
then
menu, menu, menu
goto channel 51
Enter the following channels
remember after you type in each channel to press and hold the trunk button untill
the M is displayed on the screen.

thats it your done hit the scan button turn on bank 2, then hit trunk and then
search. and you can start hearing commercial users. it should lock on to the control channel and say CC next to the freq.
