We see them nearly every day, standing around, leaning on shovels, bending over with their plumbers crack in the air, or, if you are very lucky, you can see them hard at work making our communities a better place to be.

These days, a lot of the council outdoor work is often contracted out, so finding them is a little harder on your scanner. A lot of the road maintenance crews can be heard chatting among themselves on the UHF CB band, this includes the trusty “stop and go” person.
